Editorial standards
Editorial Policy
The standards separating source-based explanation, calculations and editorial judgment.
Accuracy, traceability and clear limitations take priority over publishing speed or search volume.
What we publish
We publish explanations, comparisons and educational calculators about U.S. public retirement systems. We do not sell pension benefits, submit forms for members or represent a government agency.
How articles are checked
Each material rule must be traceable to a source listed on the page. Formula examples are recalculated from the displayed inputs. Dates, tiers and exceptions receive an explicit source check because they commonly change outcomes.
Independence and advertising
Advertising does not determine conclusions, calculator results or which systems receive favorable coverage. Sponsored material, if introduced, will be labeled and kept separate from editorial decisions.
Attribution and limitations
Articles are attributed to Public Pension Guide as the publisher. We do not claim government approval, professional credentials or an individual expert review that has not occurred. Every page states the boundary between an educational explanation and an official member determination.
